Frequently asked questions

Which job sites does HuntrIQ support?

HuntrIQ works on any job site. On LinkedIn, Lever, Greenhouse, and Ashby it provides enhanced support — autofilling application forms and capturing your answers as you type. On other sites, HuntrIQ detects job postings automatically and lets you save them to your pipeline with one click.

If HuntrIQ doesn't detect a job on a page it should support, try refreshing the page and clicking the extension icon again. If the problem persists, let us know.

Why can't I save or track a job on this page?

A few things to check:

  • Is this a job posting page? HuntrIQ detects individual job listings, not search result pages or company career home pages.
  • Is the extension enabled? Click the puzzle icon in your browser toolbar and confirm HuntrIQ is turned on.
  • Are you signed in? Open the extension sidebar and check your account status in the options page.
  • Has the page fully loaded? Refresh and wait a moment before clicking the extension icon.

If none of these help, email [email protected] with the URL of the page you're trying to capture.

How does job fit analysis work?

When you upload a resume, HuntrIQ extracts the text and builds a profile of your skills and experience. When you view a job posting, HuntrIQ extracts keywords from the job description and compares them against your resume.

Your fit score reflects how much of the job description's language and skills appear in your resume. A higher score means stronger keyword alignment. The missing skills list shows the terms in the job description that don't appear in your resume — useful for identifying gaps or tailoring future applications.

Fit analysis runs entirely on our servers. Your resume and job description are never sent to a third-party AI service.

Why is my fit score low even though I'm qualified?

Fit analysis is keyword-based — it compares the language in your resume against the language in the job description. If your resume uses different terminology than the job posting (for example, "people management" vs "line management"), the score may not fully reflect your experience.

Use the missing skills list as a guide for where your resume's language diverges from the role's requirements, not as a definitive judgement of your suitability.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. You'll be asked to confirm your password. Your account, applications, captured answers, and uploaded resumes are deleted immediately.

If you cannot access your account, email [email protected] and we will delete your data manually.

How do I delete a specific resume or application?

To delete a resume, go to Profile → Resumes and click the delete option next to the file.

To delete an application, open it from your pipeline or opportunities list and use the delete option in the application workspace.

What data does HuntrIQ store?

See our Privacy Policy for a full description of what we collect and how we use it.

In brief: we store your account information, profile details, saved job postings, application form answers, and uploaded resumes. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

How do I report a bug?

Email [email protected] with:

  • A description of what you were doing and what went wrong
  • The URL of the page where it happened (if relevant)
  • Your browser and extension version (find this in the extension's options page)

How do I find the extension version?

Click the HuntrIQ icon in your browser toolbar, then open the options page. The version number is shown at the top. You can also find it at chrome://extensions — look for HuntrIQ in the list.
